Darts league results

A full schedule of four games last Friday.


Sea Angling A 8 v 0 The Carlton
Alex Keiller (132, 105, 2x 100) was first to the oche for the A Team where he faced John Norman Murray (125). Alex set the trend for this match by winning 3 - 0. Murdo Alex Macleod (180, 140, 114, 100) for the A team then played Ruaraidh Smith and another 3 - 0 win for the A Team was recorded with Murdo A.'s max 180 coming in leg 3. This victory was achieved by checkouts of 61 and 70 in legs 1 and 2 respectively.

 

Willie Reid (139, 100) was next up to face The Carlton's Davie Ross (3 x 100) and Willie continued the A Team's domination of this match with another 3 - 0 win. Jim O'Donnell (127, 3 x 100) was the next A Team player to the oche to play The Carlton's Neil Clayden (118). Neil won leg 1 before going down 3 - 1.

 

Rory Ferguson (140, 2 x 100) was the A Team's final singles player of the evening and he faced Donnie "Token Hearach" MacDonald. Rory's 82 finish in leg 1 helped him to the 4th 3 - 0 win of the evening and put the match result at 5 - 0.


The triples game saw the A Team present Alex Keiller, Willie R. and Murdo A (140). against The Carlton's Davie Ross (100), Kay and Neil Clayden. Willie's D20 finish didn't improve things for The Carlton.

 

The first doubles game had Alex Keiller (2 x 100) and Alex "Painter" Murray play Davie and John Norman and Alex K.'s D10 finish increased The Carlton team's misery. The evening's final game had Murdo Alex (100) and Willie Reid face Ruaraidh and Neil. Once again it was the A Team that were victorious 8 - 0 whitewash by the league leaders against the second bottom team.

Golf Club 1 v 7 Rangers Club B
Phil "The Powercut" Friesler (100) opened play against Gordie Mopp (120, 2 x 100) with Gordie coming out winner with a game score of 3 - 1. Suv (116) was the Golf Club's second player of the evening to the oche as he played Murdo (140, 120, 3 x 100) and went down 3 - 0. Jim (6 x 100) was the golf club's next player, he was against Ross and came out with the golf clubs sole win of the match, beating Ross 3 - 2.

 

Sander (140, 118, 101, 2 x 100) was next to the oche for the Golf Club to face Calum. Calum won this one 3 - 1 despite Sanders superior scoring. Young Ciaran (3 x 100) was the Golf Club's final singles player and he was up against Innes (125, 4 x 100) and lost 3 - 1.

 

The triples game saw Suv, The Powercut and sub Daniel play Murdo (100) Ross (100) and Calum (100) with Murdo's D17 finish taling another game for the Rangers B Team.
The first doubles game saw Ciaran and Daniel play Gordie (100) and sub Norman. Gordie's D10 checkout took another point for the Rangers team.

 

The final game had Jim and Sander play Murdo (125, 100) and Innes (140). Murdo's D2 checkout completed another miserable night of darts for the bottom of the league Golf Club team.

Rangers Club A 4 v 4 The Sparrows
Ivor MacLeod (123) opened for the Rangers Club against Scott MacLeod (2 x 140, 3 x 100) with Scott winning 3 c- 1 to put the Sparrows in front. Ian O'Donnell (100) was next to the oche for the Rangers Club and he faced Alex "Momby" Morrison (140, 3 x 100) who was back from Regional duty to play league darts.

 

Alex's 3 - 0 win increased the Sparrow's lead to 2 - 0. Ian "Bananas" O'Donnell (140, 3 x 100) then played Amanda Campbell and his 3 - 0 win closed the gap slightly for the Rangers team. Stephen O'Donnell (140, 125, 2 x 100) then came to the oche to play Calum Ruddy(125, 120, 100).

 

Stephen's 3 - 1 win levelled the match score to 2 - 2.The final singles game had Kenny "Nini" MacLeod (125) play Finlay MacIver (2 x 140, 6 x 100). Finlay's 3 - -0 win put the Sparrows back in the lead.
The triples game had Bananas (2 x 100), Stephen and Ian play Momby (125, 139), sub Mairianne and Finlay (100) with Banana's D4 finish levelling the match score yet again.

 

The first doubles game had Bananas (121) and Stephen play Momby (140) and Finlay (3 x 100). Momby's 2 x D20 checkout for an 80 finish put the Sparrows 1 in front with 1 game left to play. Nini (110) and Ivor (112) faced Calum (137, 125) and Scott. Nini's D12 finish ensured a draw between two evenly matched teams.

Sea Angling B 3 v 5 Star Inn
Ted opened for the B Team against Mark (105, 4 x 100) and Mark put the Star Inn in front with a 3 - 0 win. Dave Blondie was the B Team's next player to the oche where he faced the Star's Jimmy Drummond (140, 3 x 100). Jimmy's 3 - 0 win put the Star two points in front.

 

Heckles(100) was next up for the B Team and he faced Jamie(121, 100)and Jamie's 3 - 0 win put the match score to 3 - 0 to the Star Inn. Babz stepped forward for the B Team to play the Star's Don (135, 100). Babz pulled one back for the B Team by winning this game 3 - 0. The final singles game had the B Team's Wakey (140, 2 x 100) play Gordon (3 x 100) for the Star Inn. Wakey's 3 - 2 win closed the match score to 3 - 2 to the Star Inn.


The triples game had Babz (140, 100), Blondie and Wakey play Jamie (100), sub Blackie (116) and Mark with the Star Inn winning to put the match score to 4 - 2 to the Star with two games left.
The first doubles game had Ted and Heckles from the B Team play Jimmy and Mark (140). Jimmy's D1 finish put a draw out of the reach of the B Team as the match score moved to 5 - 2 to the Star Inn. The final game saw Babz and Wakey (100) play Jamie (100) and Don. Babz's D4 finish put the match score to 5 - 3 in the Star's favour.
