Damaged ferry is back in service 3/6/14
The damaged ferry MV Lord of the Isles has had her hull repaired and is back in action.
The ship was suddenly taken out of service last Tuesday when the damage was spotted
during an inspection.
Passengers to Barra and South Uist were disrupted while Cal Mac shuffled the fleet
around to find a temporary replacement.
The slower MV Hebridean Isles took over her runs last week.
The Lord of the Isles was repaired at the Cammell Laird drydock in Birkenhead, opposite
Liverpool and returned at the weekend.
