The Scottish Government has appointed a new member to the Crofting Commission.
He was named as James Scott who runs a rural skills training business.
Bill Barron, chief executive of the Crofting Commission, said: “James’s expertise in conservation and interest in making crofting attractive and accessible to new and young entrants will be extremely valuable to the board.
“With a full board of commissioners we can work to ensure everything is in place for a smooth handover to the elected commissioners in April 2017.”
