at Kinloch Historical Society
Kinloch Historical Society run a heritage Centre based in Balallan, Isle of Lewis. It operates a museum, archive, café, shop and launderette. The centre is undergoing a major refurbishment and extension which is almost complete. The busy café is a popular stop for visitors to the area as well as locals, offering a simple menu also catering for large coach parties and events.
We require an experienced full time cook/manager for our busy café starting April 2019.
The post-
Duties include food preparation, stock control, cash handling and some cleaning.
You will be working as part of a small dedicated team. Previous experience essential.
Rate of pay: £10 per hour
Skills and Experience
- Catering experience including menu planning and stock control
- Ability to work without day to day supervision
- Reliability and accuracy in record keeping
- Current food hygiene certificate
- Enthusiasm and the ability to motivate oneself and others
- A flexible attitude
