A Shawbost pub and restaurant is to be transformed into a shop, cafe and offices if planning permission is granted by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar.
An application from Horshader Community Development details plans to convert The Inn Between, formerly Raebhat House, in Shawbost has been submitted.
If permission is granted, works will include changing the bedrooms and residents’ bar into two offices, boardroom, staff kitchen and community meeting room.
A separating wall would be constructed so the former lounge bar can house a shop and cafe.
The changes will bring the number of employees working in the building up from two to five.
The pub and attached guesthouse was sold last month. It had been valued at £325,000 but the price was slashed to offers over £120,000.
