Communications and Engagement Executive
(30hrs/week)
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for someone with extensive marketing and communications skills to join our team at the Calanais Visitor Centre.
As our Communications and Engagement Executive you will be responsible for the public face of Calanais, with a particular focus on:
- Maintaining and developing our new website at www.calanais.org
- Managing our Social Media channels and growing the audience and engagement
- Organising events in the Visitor Centre, for visitors and the local community
- Developing our trade offer, and liaising with trade and tour groups to schedule visits and delivering a great experience
- Developing a network of archaeology experts to support our charitable work at Calanais
- Creating new digital content aimed at both casual and expert visitors to the site
- Delivering a series of activities aimed at increasing the participation of the local community in the activities at Calanais
You will be a highly organised and motivated person with a can-do attitude and have:
- At least three years’ experience in managing websites (wordpress based) and social channels
- A track record in delivering community events
- Excellent IT skills
- A confident and assured style
- The ability to work flexibly to suit the needs of the job (you will need to be available for work on any day from Mon to Sat, depending on the weeks schedule)
We offer a competitive salary of up to £24k for a 30-hour week, a contributory pension scheme and free meals at work. A contribution to relocation expenses is available for the right candidate.
