Coastal gales are forecast for the Hebrides and west coast on Monday.

Strong southerly winds may affect ferry services, particularly in the Southern Isles where gusts may touch 50mph.

The day will be wetter and windier in contrast to the recent spell of sunshine.

Blustery conditions are set to continue on Tuesday when the strongest winds will again be in South Uist and Barra. Rain and wind should start easing off around lunchtime bringing bright and sunny spells.
