Outer Hebrides Violence Against Women Partnership Co-ordinator

Fixed term post to April 2024 with potential onward funding

This is a post to support the Outer Hebrides Violence Against Women Partnership (OHVAWP) in its response to Equally Safe – Scotland’s Strategy for Preventing and Eradicating Violence Against Women and Girls. The Co-Ordinator is responsible, through the Chair(s) of the partnership for the provision of clerical and administrative support to the work and activities of the Partnership.

We are looking for a creative, flexible, and organised woman to work as part of an enthusiastic and dedicated multi-agency team. Previous relevant experience of report writing and/or project management is desirable.

You must be highly organised, proactive, and work using a gendered analysis of domestic abuse.


The successful candidate will:

understand domestic abuse and its surrounding issues using a gendered analysis.

Have qualification(s)/relevant experience in a relevant area (e.g., social sciences, gender studies or other related fields) or be working towards this.


The post is 20 hours a week, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a flexible manner that meets the needs of OHVAWP. The salary for this post is £27,468 to £28,607 pro rata; this includes a Distant Islands Allowance.

This post is funded by Delivering Equally Safe and is a fixed term of to April 2024 with potential to go beyond this time funding permitting.
