FES FM LTD are looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to be based in the Nicolson Institute
Stornoway.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check correct wearing of PPE, and following safe work
practice within the team
- Ensuring that teams are available, presentable and disciplined
- Check correct use and storage of all equipment / consumables
- Audit and check the
quality of works required for quality and safety
- Ability to use power machinery
- scrubbers, carpet cleaners as examples
- Empty & replace bins / eurocarts as necessary

Brush/Mop public areas
- Brush/Mop gear rib areas
- Clean fixtures, fittings, lockers,
cabinets
- Clean desks, windows, telephones, chairs and other items within offices
as requested
- Cleaning of toilets/canteens
- Assist and facilitate waste segregation

Monitor housekeeping
- Assist with ad-hoc work including spills, removals and general
tidying
- Integrated into flexible working team
- Complete weekly tasks and paperwork.

Highlight hazards/near misses
Skills and Attributes:
- Good leadership skills to manage small teams
- Ability to
delegate work according to schedules
- Ability to work with teams and possess initiative

Self-motivated and pro-active approach.
- Excellent organisation & communication skills

Health & Safety - BICS training, BSC Level 1, IOSH training would be beneficial
