Passenger airlifted off ferry 28/7/14
A passenger on the MV Clansman was airlifted off the ferry for medical reasons at
the weekend.
The 30-year-old man was suffering cheats pains and and medical advice was he required
to get hospital treatment as soon as possible.
The ship carried out an airlift evacuation with the coastguard rescue helicopter
in the Minch, some 25 miles miles off Barra on Friday evening.
The casualty was taken to the Southern General hospital in Glasgow. There is no word
in his condition.
