A special prayer service is being held tonight for the Barra teenagers and their families involved in the Manchester terror attack.

People on Barra and Vatersay are invited to come together at Castlebay church to display their support for the teenagers, families and wider community affected by Monday's bombing.

The service is being conducted jointly by parish priest Father John Paul Mackinnon and Church of Scotland minister Rev Dr Lindsay Schluter.

It commences at 8pm in Our Lady Star of the Sea church.

Bishop Brian McGee had hoped to attend but he is not on the island this evening.
