Two island churches have been awarded grants under the first round of a scheme to address urgent roof repairs through the Listed Places of Worship initiative.

Our Lady of Sorrows (pictured above) in Garrynamonie, South Uist will receive £47,000.
Some £23,600 has been awarded to St Peters Scottish Episcopal Church in Stornoway.
