The assistant minister at Back Free Church in Lewis has been suspended.
Rev David F Macdonald has been temporarily relieved of his duties.
It follows an issue raised at a meeting of the Western Isles Presbytery of the Free
Church -
A spokesman said: “The presbytery met on Thursday to consider matters brought to its attention regarding Rev David F Macdonald, assistant minister at Back.”
He added that “in light of the information” bought before presbytery Mr Macdonald “is unable to fufill his ministerial duties” until the matter is resolved.
The congregation was informed of his suspension on Sunday.
