Christmas Day crash       1/9/10

At Stornoway Sheriff Court today Craig Macintyre of 1 Garynahine, Lewis, was sent to custody  for 28 days after admitting failing to carry out a supervised attendance order which itself was imposed after he failed to pay £1300 in fines.

The 19-year-old of 1 Garynahine, Lewis, previously admitted taking a car without consent on Christmas Day last year and drink driving.

He previously pleaded guilty to driving without care and attention when he lost control of the car and careered off a right hand bend at Sandwick, badly damaging a wall and lamp post.

The vehicle ended up in a villager’s front garden. Macintyre had accepted he also failed to report the accident.
