Saturday is forecast to bring a lull of sorts in the weather before a gale blows
in on Christmas Day.
Winds in the wake of Storm Barbara are expected to remain sufficiently strong through
part of Christmas Eve to bring some further disruption to travel, such as delays
to ferry services and bridge restrictions, says the Met Office.
