Scottish Christian Party election candidate, John Cormack, has called on Western Isles voters not to fall in line with the other political parties "by discarding traditional Biblical values."

Mr Cormack said the SNP’s named person scheme and the party’s plans to allow fluidity of gender are just two of the issues are "really disturbing."

He said: “The current government is leading us further and further away from crucial Christian principles which underpin our society.

"Undermining the family unit is a key part of this disintegration.

"The Scottish Christian Party is standing against the emotive tide of the SNP and instead urging a vote for thought and reason.”
