Chip shop disturbance

A 24-year-old who caused a disturbance in a Stornoway chip shop has been fined.

Andrew Campbell of 26 Bridge Cottages, Newmarket, Lewis, pleaded guilty to shouting and swearing as well as making verbal threats of violent in the takeaway in November.

Stornoway Sheriff Court heard he refused to leave the premises.

Campbell was fined £300 after a £100 discount for his early guilty plea.
