Applications for membership of the Children’s Panel in the Western Isles are now open.
Children’s Panel members make vital decisions about vulnerable children and young people in need of help.
An information evening, which will take the form of a drop in session, will be held on Wednesday 13 September at the council offices in Stornoway.
Angus MacLeod, chairman of the Eilean Siar Area Support Team, said: “We are looking for men and women to sit on the local Children’s Panel to make a real difference to the lives of young people.
“No qualifications are necessary to apply, just a requirement to care and to commit to sitting on one hearings session per month, and to attend three local learning and development sessions per year.”
