A 28-year-old chef has been fined £400 for assaulting a nightclub bouncer in Stornoway.

Kaspars Sebris of 3 Queenland Road, Stornoway, pleaded guilty at Stornoway Sheriff Court.

Lawyer Angus Macdonald said his client was allowed entry into the nightclub without any problem and was just leaving after a couple of hours when the bouncer told him he was barred.

Serbis “only asked why.”

He only slapped the bouncer when he “used excessive force,” maintained the solicitor.

Procurator fiscal Karen Smith said Serbis had refused to leave the premises and was ejected by security staff.

Outside, he slapped the bouncer on the face and attempted to get him to fight before head butting him on the face and bursting his nose, added the fiscal.
