The South Ford causeway in Uist has reopened following a two vehicle crash, say police.
The only road link between Benbecula and South Uist was blocked for number of hours.
Two people were taken to hospital after the smash which occurred around 3pm on Wednesday.
Emergency services attended the incident.
The damaged cars have now been taken away.
Pupils travelling home from Sgoil Lionacleit were stuck at the school due to the incident.
