Due to the upper floor development of the care home, we are looking for the following full time and part time staff:
Catering Assistant
Duties
1. Responsible for cleaning and keeping equipment in kitchen and dining room areas in scrupulous condition.
2. Responsible for carrying out cleaning procedures and duties as directed by the person in charge of the kitchen or patient areas.
3. Responsible for ensuring that all duties or responsibilities are performed in a safe manner so that no risk to health or safety arises to yourself, any other employee or member of the public.
4. Responsible for ensuring that all equipment is used carefully and kept in a clean, safe condition – reporting faults or repairs to the General Manager.
5. Responsible for correct and economical use of cleaning products/solutions – ensuring that instructions issued regarding their use are strictly adhered to.
6. Responsible for tasks directed by cook.
7. Responsible for cooking when the needs of the service dictate.
8. Responsible for preparing and serving light supper as the needs of the service dictates.
9. Responsible for any other duties which may be assigned to the post.
