Police are appealing for witnesses following a theft from a cash machine at the Tesco store in Stornoway.
At 4.15pm on Saturday a woman withdrew £100 from the machine.
But she walked off forgetting to take the cash.
The money was gone when she returned a short time later.
Police ask anyone with any information contact Stornoway Police Station on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
