A car driver who failed to report an accident was fined when his case called at Stornoway Sheriff Court.

Iain William Macdonald of Macsween Terrace, Point, pleaded guilty to the charge.

The court heard he hit another vehicle within Stornoway Free Church carpark on 10 February.

Police traced him two days later.

His solicitor said Macdonald did not see any damage to the vehicle.

Sheriff David Sutherland fined him £150 and imposed three points on his licence.
