Post office opening delayed               10/2/14

The opening of a new post office at Carnan is still delayed due to problems in securing high speed internet links.

Post office services are due to transfer from Creagorry across the South Ford to Lovats in Carnan.

The shift was meant to take place in January but has been postponed to an unconfirmed date.

The separate Royal Mail’s sorting office delivery operations at Creagorry will also relocate to the same shop. The change will not happen this Friday as planned but is on hold to coincide with the post office opening.

Until then all arrangements for Royal Mail customers will remain unchanged at Creagorry. The two postmen who work from Creagorry will continue to serve the local community.

Creagorry Post Office is closing as post mistress Evelyn Thorington is retiring. Royal Mail is moving its operation to guarantee continued service to customers.

The Royal Mail and the Post Office are two separate companies
