Carloway Football Club has won the Lewis and Harris League with 2-1 victory against Point FC.

Alex Macdonald headed the ball into the net to put Point in the lead after 10 minutes in the Monday night decider.

The visitors kept the heat on Carloway but Angus Grant scored an equaliser just before half time.

The home team came back out stronger with a low shot from Kenny “Dokus” Macdonald putting them in the lead.

Both sides missed chances over the rest of the match and it ended with Carloway crowned champions.

The result makes it Carloway’s second league title in its 84-year history, the first was in 2013.
