Careless driving

A youth who collided into a petrol station barrier post has been fined.

Lee Mcbratney of 18 Constable Road, Stornoway, admitted driving carelessly and knocking the support post from its fixings at a Stornoway fuel station on 1 August.

He also failed to report the accident, Stornoway Sheriff Court heard.

Mcbratney was fined £400 over the two offences. He also received a total of nine penalty points on his licence.
