An island motorist has been fined £350 for careless driving in a Stornoway town centre street.
George Morrison, 40, of 4 New Tolsta, Lewis, also received six penalty points on his licence when he pleaded guilty to the offence at Stornoway Sheriff Court.
The court heard Morrison accelerated towards the rear of another car and collided with it, causing damage to both vehicles in Cromwell Street on 3 January.
