A motorist who drove on the wrong side of the road forcing another driver to take avoiding action has been fined.
Alexander Macdonald of 12 Bridge Cottages, Lewis, pleaded guilty to careless driving when he was sentenced at Stornoway Sheriff Court.

The court heard he drove his Citreon Picasso into the opposing lane, overtook two vans and a car in Cromwell Street, Stornoway, in November.
An oncoming motorcyclist had to take avoiding action to prevent a crash.
