£50 car lands pair in court 30/3/14
Two men involved in towing a car without insurance have appeared in court.
Alvis Skipsna of 40C Church Street, Stornoway, admitted being the driver of the car
under tow in Guershader, Laxdale on 27 January.
His friend Janis Cerins, 29, of 28 Bayhead, Stornoway, pleaded guilty to allowing
Skipsna to use the vehicle.
Procurator fiscal David Teale told Stornoway Sherrif Court that Cerins purchased
the car for £50.
Sheriff David Sutherland deferred sentence on Cerins for two weeks.
He imposed six points on Skipsna’s licence.
