A man has admitted three charges involving a vehicle which was taken without consent.

David Macleay pleaded guilty to taking the car from James Street, Stornoway, on 4 January.

The 26-year-old, formerly of Ballantrushal, Lewis, but presently residing in Inverness,  admitted he drove the car while disqualified and also had no insurance.

Sheriff David Hall deferred sentence to a later date.
