The Lewis and Harris Breast Cancer Support Group has changed its name.
Reflecting a move to help suffers of all types of cancer, the body is now called the Lewis and Harris Women’s Cancer Support Group.
The body, initially formed in 1998 by its present convener, Mary MacLeod, was concerned at the lack of support for women suffering from cancer other than breast.
Members were consulted and backed the expansion of its activities.
The Scottish charity regulator has officially approved the changes.
