The latest plans for a campsite and caravan park in Ness have been withdrawn.
Landowners, Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn, had applied for outline planning permission to test the principle of building the facility on Fivepenny machair close to the Ness FC football pitch.
It has earmarked an 1.4 acre site on the common grazings for the development which would attract more tourists to the district.
Western Isles Council indicated the application had been withdrawn.
