Cal Mac wedding planner kept nuptials on course

A Cal Mac office worker has been nominated for an award after helping rescue wedding plans threatened by series of ferry strikes.
Demi Wylie was thrust into the role of wedding planner after seven anxious bridal couples feared their nupitals would be ruined during last summer's industrial action by the RMT union
Travel bookings for over 600 guests were examined and alternative arrangements put in place.
Ms Wylie, 23, and her team also sourced extra special gifts for each couple with handmade products from the island they had chosen for their wedding.
She has been put forward Frontline Employee of the Year category at the Scottish Transport Awards taking place on Thursday.
