The MV Clansman will cover the Uig triangle run for the next week or so.

Sailings for North Uist and Harris were cancelled as the the MV Hebrides was removed from service following her grounding in Lochmaddy on Sunday.

Cal Mac said the Uig triangle route will return to its normal timetable from Friday with the replacement ship.

The MV Lord of the Isles has been taken off the South Uist and Mallaig route to cover Clansman's Inner Hebrides' runs.

However, there will be no sailings for Lochboisdale for about seven days.

Meanwhile, the Barra ferry, MV Isle of Lewis, will undertake a return voyage between Skye and Lochmaddy on Thursday to clear most of the backlog of vehicles and passengers.

She will discharge outbound Barra traffic on Skye and return to Castlebay late at night.

Cal Mac is presently two vessels down as the MV Isle of Arran is undergoing repair work.
