Sir,

What a dogs dinner the council has made of the Uist bus services. For a place the size of the Uists and Benbecula, go online, and you will now find 10 timetables. Some you will need a diploma or university degree to understand and have five different operators. You wouldn't find that if you were travelling across the USA. There is now always waiting times at the ferry terminals, when there was no or limited waiting before.

Of course, the people who drew up these bus formats, never actually travel by bus, hence the minced up mash we are now served.

Tourists must be bewildered by trying to make sense of it all. The very people we should try to encourage to visit the islands are now put off by this.  They have already probably spent more time and money already in trying to 'sort it out' than they intended to save.

Revert to the previous timetables, and put people before money.
