The Barra ferry, MV Isle of Lewis, has been repaired and is back at sea.

The vessel was withdrawn from service and laid up in Oban with technical problems since the weekend.

She is carrying passengers and vehicles on a voyage to Castlebay today which allows her to get back in position to commence her normal timetable from Friday.

Meanwhile, due to previous weather disruptions, the Lord of the Isles is making an unscheduled sailing today between Lochboisdale and Mallaig.
