There will be no ferry service out of Lochboisdale until after Christmas at least as the MV Lord of the Isles is still hampered with “technical” problems.

The vessel is stuck in Oban for repairs.

Her timetable for the next few days has been cancelled.

Passengers and vehicles are being transferred, if possible, via the Skye - Lochmaddy ferry.

However, sailings on all routes including through North Uist, are be liable to disruption, delay or cancellation due to the severe weather forecast.
