The sum of £600 was raised for the British Heart Foundation (BHF), at a recent Ladies Night held in Leurbost in Lewis.

The evening in Leurbost Hall was thoroughly enjoyed by around 50 ladies. Everyone received canapés and glass of bubbly/soft drink on arrival. On offer throughout the evening was massage, foot whispering, Ishga demonstrations, mini manicures, a prize raffle and a brilliant opportunity for ladies to relax and blether.

Also very popular was a ‘swap rail’ where ladies could bring in unwanted clothes to swap, or make a donation to anything they liked. One lady even went home with a pair of Louis Vuitton shoes.

Pictured are committee members of North Lochs Community Association: Sarah MacDonald, Elaine MacLeod and Evelyn Coull MacLeod, presenting a cheque to local British Heart Foundation nurses, Donna Graham, Norma MacLeod and Catriona MacDonald. (Missing from the photograph are committee members, Maggie MacLeod and Annabel MacLean.)
