The hall at St Columba’s Old Parish Church was packed last Tuesday evening as the 1st Stornoway Company of the Boys’ Brigade held their first parents’ night for 15 years.

Inspecting Officer, Angus Macleod, reflected on his own time as a Life Boy after observing the performance put on by the unit.

The company which has reformed after a period of closure has nine boys in the junior section (aged 8-11) and 24 in the anchor section (aged 5-8).

It is intended that as the boys grow older to form a company section for those over 11 years of age.
