A nine-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being injured falling off his bike in Stornoway.

Police were called to the incident around 3.40pm today (Tuesday) at Perceval Road South, Stornoway.

Emergency services attended and the youngster was taken to Western Isles Hospital for treatment.
