The body of a woman was recovered around 6.10pm on Sunday evening near to the village
of Back in Lewis.
Police Scotland said the family of 58-year-old Alison Macdonald, who had been reported
missing earlier on Sunday has been informed.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted
to the procurator fiscal.
Police earlier issued an appeal to help trace Alison Macdonald who was last seen
in the Lighthill area in the late morning.
Emergency services carried out searches in the area.
