A launch event for Befriending Lewis takes place tonight.
Befriending offers a friendly, listening ear to people who would otherwise be socially isolated.
Guest speakers include representatives from the Befriending Networks, NHS, Samaritans as well as volunteers and beneficiaries who would like to share their story.
The event aims to offer an insight into what befriending is, the positive impact it can have on the lives of people in the island community and how people can get involved.
It starts at 7pm in Registry Room in Stornoway Town Hall.
