Beach accident woman named

The identity of the woman who died in an incident at Nisabost beach in west Harris has been confirmed.

Agnès Proudhon-Smith was swept off a rocky outcrop into the water by a wave on Wednesday morning.

Sea conditions were rough with strong winds at the time.

The 50-year-old married mother of two boys lived in the London area.

Police said enquiries remain ongoing into the incident, although there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.
