Broken down fishfarm boat drifting at sea 13/2/13
Barra lifeboat was called out to help a drifting fish farm vessel off South Uist
yesterday.
The boat lost engine power at sea and was unable to steer.
Coastguards relayed a Mayday to other vessels in the vicinity by Loch Carnan while
the lifeboat launched from Castlebay about 9am.
The two workers onboard the salmon farm boat managed to restore power just as the
lifeboat arrived on scene.
