Two teenagers from Barra are feared missing following an attack at a music concert in Manchester.

Police say 22 people were killed after a suicide attacker detonated an ‘improvised explosive device’ during a performance by US singer Ariana Grande.

A further 59 people have been injured.

Laura MacIntyre, 15, and Eilidh Macleod, 14, travelled from Barra to the event.

The teenagers were last seen at the concert before the explosion at 10.30pm last night.

Their families are desperate for news.

Eilidh’s mother who travelled with them to attend the event has been frantically searching for the pair.

Laura’s father, Micheal posted an appeal on social media.

He tweeted:” Please...please reetweet. Looking for my daughter and her friend . Laura Macintyre and Eilidh Macleod  #manchesterattack”

On Facebook, Eilidh’s aunt Margaret MacNeil said: "My niece and her friend were at the Ariana Grande concert tonight and there has been no contact since the explosion.

"Please let us find the girls safe and well."

Greater Manchester Police issued an emergency number for those who are concerned about loved ones or anyone who may have been in the area - 0161 856 9400.
