An island man has appeared in court accused of attempted murder.
Angus Laing Macdonald made no plea or declaration to the charge when he appeared at a brief hearing at Stornoway Sheriff Court on Monday.

It follows an incident reported around 4.20am on Friday.
Police Scotland said police and ambulance personnel attended to an injured woman at an address in Griminish, Benbecula.
A 51 year old male was detained at the time, said a police spokesman.
