Sir,

While we welcome the Scottish Government's intervention into BiFab’s survival it is only a short term fix. At Arnish there are only four weeks work left possibly longer with the delay and uncertainty that these last two weeks have caused.

Next year there are multi-million contracts about to happen in Scottish offshore wind farm operations. East Moray Firth, Neart na Gaoithe, Inch Cape and SeaGreen Alpha and Bravo sites in the Firth of Forth.

It is time the Scottish Government looked closely at how these developments will be carried out thus ensuring that a comfortable future for a Scottish and our islands and children's careers are secure.
