I note with interest that Flybe are to team up with Eastern Airways to effectively
try and corner the market after terminating their partnership with Loganair on routes
particularly from Stornoway.
I am sure this is not in the best interests of the customers using this route as
we have seen with partnerships in the past.
Some people will welcome this as a healthy alternative to one airline having the
monopoly. I look at the larger picture and think there is some other underlying factor
behind this move. Loganair’s response to this news is quote “very disappointing.”
I hope that I am wrong in my assumption. Only time will tell.
