Islander was aggressive towards police

A Stornoway man who acted aggressively towards police officers has been sentenced to community service work.

At Stornoway Sheriff Court Calum Naan admitted using threatening or abusive behaviour in Stornoway police station last.

He repeatedly shouted and swore and made racist remarks in July last year, the court heard.   

Sheriff David Sutherland placed him on a community payback order including 60 hours of unpaid work to be completed within six months.
