Nuisance 999 calls            21/7/10

 

 

 

 

A Stornoway woman who abuse the 999 emergency telephone system was warned she could face prison if she appears in court again.

 

Dorothy Macritchie, 64, of 43 Newton Street, was drunk when she committed the offences in April and May her lawyer told Stornoway Sheriff Court yesterday.

 

He said she was a Jekyll and Hyde character who was a nice, amicable lady when sober

 

Sheriff David Sutherland imposed one year probation and ordered her to follow advice given by her health consultants. If she breached her sentenced “you will be brought back here and it will not be probation” in future sentencing.
